Belgian Waffles
I make these waffle recipe the night before and make fresh waffles in the morning.
Ingredients
Wet
- 1 ½ cups lukewarm milk (340g)
- 3 tablespoons oil or melted butter
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup, optional (39g)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Dry
- 2 cups unbleached all-purpose flour (240g)
- 1 ½ teaspoons instant yeast
- ¾ teaspoon salt
Instructions
Mix dry and wet ingredient separately and then add together. The result will be a wet dough. Cover and leave it out enough to see some bubbles (about 1 hour). Then it goes in the fridge overnight.
You can change the flour to use %50 whole wheat flour. Use the dough to make waffles with your waffle maker of choice. You can add chocolate chips in the morning as well.
Original recipe comes from King Arthur baking.
